Gamer Of Passion is a small, independent site about hidden gems, masterpieces, classics and everything in between. It is run by one person (who goes by “gamerofpassion” online), with a handful of guides written by players who knew a game better than anyone else.
Who is behind this?
Just a passionate gamer, as the name suggests. I am from Central Europe and played my first games when I was a little child. I never really stopped since.
The games I love most usually do not hold your hand, and they reward you for digging deeper:
- Grand strategy games, where one campaign can easily eat a whole weekend (Stellaris alone has taken hundreds of my hours, with a soft spot for the Devouring Swarm).
- Handcrafted RPGs with worlds that feel built by hand rather than generated. Gothic 2: Night of the Raven, with hundreds of playthroughs, is still the game every other RPG gets measured against for me.
- Survival games with real personality, like Don’t Starve Together, where every system is designed with care and learning the game is half the fun.
- Hidden gems, the smaller and older games that never got the attention they deserved.
- Games with deeply dedicated communities, the kind people still play, mod and theorycraft years after release. Those communities are a big part of what keeps me writing.
I am very passionate about games, and this site exists for one reason: to add something useful. If a guide saves you an hour of frustration or points you to a game you end up loving, it did its job.
I am staying anonymous on purpose. The site should be judged by whether the guides are correct and helpful, not by who wrote them.
What you will find here
- Guides for the tricky parts of a game: builds, boss fights, events, permanent bonuses, and anything the in-game tooltips do not explain properly.
- Reviews of games worth your time, including older and niche ones that rarely get covered anymore.
- Tools, like the Gothic 2 Night of the Raven Build Calculator and the Siralim Ultimate Community Build Directory.
How the guides are made
- Numbers (damage values, requirements, event outcomes, etc.) are cross-checked against official wikis, patch notes and game data wherever possible.
- Every guide states which version or DLC it applies to. Games get patched, so older guides are revisited and marked with an “Updated” date when something changes.
- Found a mistake? Please tell me (contact form below). Corrections are made quickly and gladly.

Gamer Of Passion is completely non-commercial. It is not run for profit, and all costs (hosting, domain, etc.) are paid out of my own pocket. The site is not sponsored by any developer or publisher, and nobody pays for coverage or rankings here.
